The terms that apply to quotes, orders, delivery and use of our website.

About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Citilec website and to quotes, orders and sales made by Citilec (Pty) Ltd, trading as Citilec Electrical & Lighting Wholesalers (“Citilec”), registration number 2005/022163/07, VAT number 4090223142. By using the website or placing an order you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies.

Prices and quotes

  • Prices shown on the website include VAT, are indicative and are subject to change without notice. They are not an offer to sell.
  • A price is only confirmed when Citilec issues a written quote or invoice. Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote.
  • Errors and omissions excepted (E&OE). Product images and descriptions are a guide; specifications may change without notice.
  • Stock availability must be confirmed with Citilec before ordering.

Orders and payment

  • An order is accepted only when Citilec confirms it.
  • Trade and credit accounts are subject to approval and to the terms of the credit or COD application signed by the customer.
  • Payment is due as stated on the quote or invoice. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Instant EFT. Cash on delivery (COD) and credit accounts are available subject to approval.
  • Ownership of goods passes to the customer only once they have been paid for in full.

Delivery

  • We offer free delivery throughout Gauteng on qualifying orders over R1 000 (including VAT). Orders below this amount, bulky or special-order items and deliveries outside Gauteng may carry a delivery charge, quoted before you order.
  • Delivery times are estimates and depend on stock and courier availability. Citilec is not liable for delays outside its reasonable control.
  • The customer, or an authorised person, must inspect goods on delivery and report any damage or shortage within 48 hours.
  • Risk in the goods passes to the customer on delivery.

Returns and refunds

Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Returns Policy.

Warranties and liability

  • Products carry the manufacturer's warranty. Faulty goods must be reported promptly so that a claim can be made.
  • Electrical products must be installed by a suitably qualified and registered person. Citilec is not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse or modification.
  • To the extent the law allows, Citilec is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Website use

  • Content on this website belongs to Citilec or its suppliers and may not be copied or reused without permission.
  • We try to keep the website accurate and available but do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Citilec may update them from time to time; the version on this page applies.
